Katia Oblak works from the Northern Rivers. Her canvases move like weather — sweeping and subconscious, pursuing the atmospherics of dusk and dawn through layered acrylic and a stream-of-consciousness approach that refuses a predetermined point of arrival. Each painting a topography of inner emotion; a marker in time, of a region, a season, a way of seeing that insists on the beauty latent in the ordinary.
